Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager in delivering a professional Project and Design Management service.
  • Comprehend and analyze project scope and objectives.
  • Monitor and report on project progress.
  • Organize and document project meetings effectively.
  • Assist the Project Manager in ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Create, update, and maintain various project controls to track costs, schedules, changes, quality, safety, and financial performance.
  • Assist in procurement processes.
  • Manage or assist with change order management, including updating logs and obtaining pricing.
  • Establish and maintain project schedules while communicating progress.
  • Review and coordinate shop drawings and submittals to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and facilitate solutions.
  • Participate in project close-out activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Track project expenses to adhere to budget constraints.
  • Assist in evaluating projects for constructability and potential cost savings.
  • Engage in weekly staff meetings.
  • Manage smaller projects within established comfort levels.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned to support the Project Management team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager in a General Contracting or Construction environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in task management and prioritization.
  • Familiarity with specialized software for collaboration and spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction practices.
  • Ability to diligently track and follow up on outstanding issues and action items.
