The Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations is responsible for providing strategic oversight related to the development, execution, support, and assessment of R.M. Chin & Associates, Inc.'s Information Technology (IT) systems and operations. This role collaborates with senior management and various departments to optimize the use of technology applications within their respective areas. The Director serves as a hands-on technical expert and thought leader for the IT team and key stakeholders across the organization, emphasizing innovation and the implementation of leading-edge technology practices to enhance service delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and implement the infrastructure and operations strategy, policies, and standards to align with business objectives and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure the accessibility of applications and services, maintaining a scalable and adaptable infrastructure to meet evolving business requirements and technological advancements.
  • Establish a ticketing system for technology-related requests and develop protocols to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
  • Oversee the IT technical team, managing resources to deliver high-quality services, solutions, and projects.
  • Implement customer service excellence practices for all stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with all team members, creating a supportive environment for idea exchange.
  • Develop talent within the department and identify ways to enhance service delivery and productivity.
  • Manage the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring systems.
  • Evaluate processes and create an IT roadmap strategy to ensure alignment of computer equipment, hardware, and software with organizational needs and standards.
  • Stay informed about the evolving nature of IT and its impact on the industry.
  • Advise leadership on financial implications through the development of an IT budget.
  • Oversee IT projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely completion within budget while providing technical guidance to resolve complex challenges.
  • Assess and select vendors and technology partners that deliver optimal value and support.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and prompt resolution of any issues.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Operations, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT Infrastructure/Operations Management, preferably within the AEC industry.
  • Experience managing the transition from legacy systems to modern tools.
  • Strong expertise in networking, cloud computing, virtualization, and other relevant technologies.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proficient in project management.
