We have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately maintaining the financial records by performing various accounting functions requiring professional competency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing journal entries and completing balance sheet reconciliations
- Providing account analysis and ensuring accurate financial reporting
- Assisting with processing telco carrier invoices and calculating and producing member CalREN billings and associated subsidies from Federal and State programs
- Reconciling assigned accounts, pass-through income and expenses, and Erate/CTF for the assigned segments
- Preparing monthly supplemental reporting for managers
- Assisting with annual financial audits
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of two years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAPP (general accounting principles and procedures)
- Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot table) and MS office applications
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision to complete tasks by required timelines
