The Medical Director plays a pivotal role in assisting the Director of Medical Operations to guarantee uniformity in clinical care delivery, clinician onboarding, and supporting market clinical and financial strategies as defined by the leadership team.

As a Medical Director in the region, you will be responsible for onboarding, mentoring, and ensuring that standard procedures are executed effectively, delivering top-tier clinical care.

The Medical Director will also provide clinical coverage, treating patients in centers while allocating time for delegated Medical Director duties.

Hours: M-F 8a-5pm

Responsibilities:


Engage 100% in-center, delivering direct patient care, mentoring staff, leading by example, and exemplifying clinical excellence alongside an outstanding patient experience.

Assume the role and responsibilities of Clinical Medical Director, whether serving at a specific location or as a Market Float covering an open position.


Collaborate under the guidance of the Director of Medical Operations to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing clinical quality, workflows, safety, center performance, patient satisfaction, and other practice aspects.


Work alongside the leadership team (primarily the Director of Medical Operations and Director of Therapy Operations) to identify clinical improvement opportunities and ensure adequate support and workflow compliance, fostering an environment conducive to optimal patient care.

Mentor and train future clinical leaders as well as newly hired and experienced clinicians. Cultivate a culture of collaboration, professionalism, patient and colleague safety, quality care, continuous improvement, and recognition.

Understand financial drivers and outcomes at the center, utilizing available tools to achieve annual business and strategic objectives. Assist Clinical Medical Directors in comprehending these aspects.

Maintain and leverage relationships with employers, payers, referral sources, networks, and local communities to stimulate market growth. Address requests and issues promptly.

Assist in organizing clinician meetings, leading or supporting in their execution.

Support the Director of Medical Operations and Executive Assistant in managing staffing within centers and making adjustments for unforeseen coverage needs.

May be required to oversee drug/alcohol testing of patients.

Qualifications:
Board Certified/Board Eligible highly preferred.

Current unrestricted medical license in the state of jurisdiction as required for clinical and/or business responsibilities.

Occupational Medicine experience preferred, but we are willing to train otherwise qualified candidates in this area of medicine.

Unrestricted DEA license for the state of jurisdiction.

Medical degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution.

Job-Related Experience:

Preferred two years of directly applicable experience, including relevant clinical and supervisory experience for clinical scope.

Preferred two years of experience in managed care and physician management.

Experience in developing and leading medical management and quality improvement programs, preferably in a managed care setting.
