We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing Education and Development to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement educational strategies that align with clinical standards and best practices.
- Create and deliver high-quality educational curricula that incorporate evidence-based practice, research findings, and national standards.
- Provide leadership for the development, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of programs that support nursing transitions in practice, including RN Residency, Preceptor and Mentor Programs, General Clinical Orientation, and school clinical placements.
- Aggregate and analyze data trends to inform educational strategies and ensure compliance with quality standards and parameters.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the JDCH Simulation Center in partnership with the Director, JDCH Center for Nursing Excellence, Education and Innovation.
- Maintain a working knowledge of regulations and legislation impacting nursing education and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Consult with and serve as a clinical resource for unit and department leaders to ensure quality patient care.
- Develop and coordinate education plans related to initial and ongoing competency validation and conduct routine educational needs assessments.
- Participate in program development to support clinical practice, scholarly activities, and the application of research findings to clinical practice.
- Develop evidence-based educational materials and evaluate instructional materials in all types of media and formats.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Required)
- Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT) - Compact RN Multistate, Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
- Two (2) years of leadership experience; two (2) years facilitating learning/professional development and five (5) years of Nursing experience
