Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Estimator and Operations Manager to join our team at LEAD Staffing. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for projects by gathering information and analyzing important metrics.

The ideal candidate will have excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset, with the ability to manage relationships with key personnel. You will provide knowledge of cost and benefits that support profitable business decisions.

In this role, you will understand project requirements, determine key variables for cost and other estimates, and gather first-hand information from sites or other venues. You will conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, etc., and use software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.

You will also obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors, perform risk analysis, create and submit estimate reports or bids to appropriate persons, build relationships with key vendors, and provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate estimates for projects by gathering information and analyzing important metrics.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an estimator or similar position.
  • Experience with civil site, civil plans, moving dirt, asphalt.
  • Familiarity with financial and project management principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas.
  • Exquisite math and IT ability with analytical mindset.
  • Proficient in relevant software (Insite elevation 2024, Blue Beam & Excel).
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Thoroughness and reliability.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
