Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our team at Johnsonlink Orthodontics. As a key member of our Orthodontics department, you will be responsible for ensuring that instruments used for procedures are clean and sterilized, and working properly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties with excellence and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Properly sterilize and pack all instruments and equipment under department policy.
  • Perform all opening, closing, and maintenance procedures described in the sterilization and maintenance policies handbook.
  • Restock and maintain an inventory of sterilization supplies and instruments to ensure a constant level is always available.
  • Communicate to the lead assistant and ordering personnel any supplies that need replenishing or replacement.
  • Maintain order and cleanliness in the sterilization area and toothbrushing area. Perform mandatory weekly spore testing and maintain a log for records.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of Autoclave.
  • Restock all stations daily with supplies needed.
  • Maintain laundry (lab coats and towels) along with taking trash & recycling out.
  • Seat patients, assist clinical assistants, set up and tear down patient chairs between patients.
  • Other duties may include participating in team activities, replenishing patient education material and JLO swag, and community involvement events.
Requirements
  • MUST BE A REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT IN WASHINGTON STATE
  • Please provide a current resume.
