About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Future Customer Experiences (FCE) team at HP Development Company, L.P. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing innovative electrical hardware solutions for our next-generation FCE products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical hardware solutions for FCE products, including proof-of-concept, design architecture, and product development activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including internal and external partners, to deliver product definitions meeting feature, quality, and user experience goals.
  • Develop and implement parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of all design elements.
  • Manage tasks and issues with high technical and logistic complexity, exhibiting strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards, providing tangible feedback to improve product quality.
Requirements
  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in electrical design and tools, software packages, architecture of electronic hardware, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in schematic capture and layout for multi-layer circuit board design, high-speed signal integrity design, modeling, standards, and validation, design for test, quality, and manufacturing, and industry standard design best-practices for reliability.
Preferred Skills
  • Small-scale rapid design and prototyping for tools and proofs-of-concept.
  • Embedded control design.
  • Scripting, firmware, and software design.
  • Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) expertise.
  • Manufacturing processes and controls.
  • Expertise in industry standard protocols (USB, Display Port, PCIe, I2C, etc.).
  • Fluency in at least one of the major EE CAD tools (Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Altium, etc.).

The base pay range for this role is $90,000 to $120,000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
