Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Eligibility Coordinator to join our team at Assured Benefits Administrators. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating between eligibility products, processing applications, and ensuring the accuracy of insurance company records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit and review enrollment forms for accuracy and completeness.
  • Calculate effective dates for employee eligibility.
  • Correspond with insured parties or agents to obtain information or inform them of account status or changes.
  • Organize and maintain detailed records, including policies to be reinstated or canceled.
  • Review and verify data, such as name, address, date of birth, and dependent information.
  • Modify, update, and process existing employee records to reflect changes in benefits or coverage.
  • Transcribe data to worksheets and enter information into computer systems.
  • Notify insurance agents and billing departments of retroactive billing changes.
  • Calculate premiums, refunds, and adjustments using insurance rate standards.
  • Examine letters and documents to determine if changes are needed and their effects.
  • Compose business correspondence and professional emails.
  • Ensure the accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Verify eligibility and benefits by email.
  • Enter insurance and benefit information into WLT software.
  • Adhere to HIPAA privacy and confidentiality regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in insurance.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA eligibility rules.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Typing proficiency with minimal errors.
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize work.
  • Ability to work in the office full-time.
