Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Laboratory Director to lead our laboratory team at a 400+ bed hospital in Southern California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical laboratory management, a proven track record of success, and excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee all daily laboratory activities, including management of staff, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely test results.
  • Collaborate with hospital departments to ensure seamless integration of laboratory services.
  • Provide input and support to hospital-wide committees and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to laboratory testing and patient safety.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as clinical laboratory science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of general clinical laboratory experience, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license issued by the State of California Department of Public Health.
