Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Laboratory Director to lead our laboratory team at a 400+ bed hospital in Southern California. The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for overseeing all laboratory activities, including management of staff, ensuring compliance with hospital and department policies, and coordinating with vendors for equipment and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee all daily laboratory activities, including management of staff and ensuring compliance with hospital and department policies.
  • Oversee contracts with vendors involving equipment and products.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of laboratory results.
  • Provide input and support to hospital-wide committees and strategic objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree that satisfies the requirements for a Clinical Laboratory Scientist license issued by the State of California Department of Public Health.
  • Minimum of 5 years of general clinical laboratory experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a general clinical laboratory.
