Job Description:

The Director of Nursing will oversee the nursing department, ensuring high-quality patient care and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This leadership position involves effectively managing nursing staff, implementing strategic plans, and maintaining efficient operations within the healthcare facility.

Responsibilities:

  1. Nursing Policy Development: Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
  2. Staff Management: Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of nursing staff.
  3. Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient care delivery and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
  5. Financial Management: Manage the departmental budget and resources effectively.
  6. Quality Improvement: Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  7. Strategic Planning: Lead strategic planning for nursing services and initiatives.
  8. Problem Resolution: Resolve staffing and operational issues to maintain seamless nursing services.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Licensure: Active registered nurse (RN) license and current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, including Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Health experience.
  • Skills: Demonstrated expertise in staff management and development, in-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards, proven track record in strategic planning and execution, strong financial acumen for budget management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to effectively collaborate with diverse healthcare professionals, and experience in quality improvement and performance management.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
