Environmental Science Internship Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Science Intern to join our team at Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB). As an Environmental Science Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including wetland delineations, habitat assessments, and rare plant and wildlife surveys.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with fieldwork, including wetland delineations, habitat assessments, and rare plant and wildlife surveys
  • Prepare local, state, and federal environmental permits for public and private-sector projects
  • Conduct research and interpret environmental laws and regulations
  • Gather and interpret required environmental project-related data
  • Effectively interact with VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner
Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, or related field
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
