KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Blood Bank Technologist, you will:
- Conduct essential and advanced tests on donors and patients, interpreting results to ensure compatibility.
- Address compatibility issues and provide consultation services to medical facilities.
- Perform both automated and manual testing procedures on blood samples, adhering to strict standard operating procedures.
- Support and guide volunteers, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures in your duties.
YOUR ROLE IN OUR MISSION:
- Collaborate with medical staff to resolve serological challenges and provide specialized units for transfusion recipients.
- Oversee the logistics of blood sample management, including ordering and preparing necessary reagents.
- Execute and interpret both basic and complex testing procedures, maintaining quality control as mandated by regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and manage laboratory equipment, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Facilitate training and competency assessments for staff and educate external customers.
- Demonstrate independent problem-solving skills and be available for on-call responsibilities.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This position requires flexibility with a variable schedule, including potential second or third shifts, with initial training on the first shift.
COMPENSATION:

QUALIFICATIONS:
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or Chemistry, with relevant certifications preferred.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in blood banking.
