Job Summary

Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant Critical Care to join our team as a Hospitalist Medicine Physician Assistant. This is a full-time position that requires a strong foundation in evidenced-based practice and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage the care of acute and complex chronically ill patients in a hospital setting.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to make diagnoses and develop treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe therapeutic interventions as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote continuity of care.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate and timely records.
Requirements
  • Three years of Advanced Practice Experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical practice as an Advanced Practice Provider in a hospital setting.
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written) that facilitate therapeutic relationships between physicians, APRNs, college and hospital leadership and the multi-disciplinary team.
