Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Penn State Health Children's Hospital. As a critical care physician assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill newborns, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in rounds, conferences, and other educational activities to stay current with best practices and advances in neonatal care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Provide education and support to families, including counseling and guidance on neonatal care and developmental needs.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in neonatal critical care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
