Job Summary

We seek a highly skilled Branch Banking Relationship Manager to join our team. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales growth, and promoting our banking solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Customer Service and Sales
  • Engage customers in a variety of ways to bank with us, providing solutions to meet their needs and encouraging the use of digital capabilities in customer interactions.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their financial needs, and delivering tailored banking solutions to meet their goals.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, while maintaining a deep understanding of our banking products and services.
Branch Operations
  • Support daily branch operations, including managing customer transactions, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with the branch team to resolve customer issues and concerns.
  • Contribute to the retention and expansion of all consumer and business banking relationships.
Compliance and Risk Management
  • Adhere to established customer service standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Identify and escalate cases of suspected fraud, ensuring a safe and secure banking environment for our customers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing time effectively.
Financial Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong understanding of banking products and services, with the ability to explain features and benefits to customers.
  • Ability to analyze customer financial needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their goals.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of 1 year's proven retail sales, call center, customer service, or telesales experience.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with varying customers (consumer to small business).

Compensation and Benefits

M&T Bank offers a competitive salary range of $20.00 - $32.60 Hourly (USD), based on your skills, experience, and qualifications. We also offer a range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plans, and paid time off.
