We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Firelands Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Implement the nursing process with patients, including carrying out physicians' orders regarding diet, medication, and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
- Perform assessments, monitor, and ensure quality care through observation and evaluation; document nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and report findings to physicians as needed.
- Instruct patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans, and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
- Respond to emergencies; maintain availability of medications and supplies; ensure cleanliness of equipment and environment.
- Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
- Prefer at least 1 year of experience.
- Current PALS, ACLS, Basic EKG, and TNCC required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
- Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.
