Custodial Technician

The Kennedy Collective is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Janitorial Worker. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and sanitized environment for our government clients.

The Janitorial Worker is responsible for independently executing cleaning tasks in assigned areas of various buildings, adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.

The Janitorial Worker will perform comprehensive cleaning duties, which include:

• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, office spaces, communal areas, staircases, windows, shelves, doors, auditoriums, classrooms, kitchens, and cafeterias.
• Executing cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, buffing floors, stripping and waxing floors, and emptying waste and recycling bins.
• Conducting exterior maintenance, including snow removal, sanding walkways, and managing outdoor waste.
• Operating industrial cleaning equipment, such as scrubbers, burnishers, and power washers.
• Ensuring compliance with all contract specifications and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Completing additional tasks as assigned to meet contract obligations.

Candidates should possess a High School Diploma and ideally have one year of experience in custodial or maintenance roles. Flexibility to work in various environments and weather conditions is essential.

Work hours may vary, requiring availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Successful candidates will demonstrate independence, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to their work. A comprehensive federal and state background check is mandatory, and a Department of Defense Federal Clearance Check may be required based on assignment.

Possession of a vehicle during shifts may be necessary for travel to different work locations.

The role involves physical activities such as lifting, carrying, and pushing, with the ability to move weights up to 30 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally.
