Position Overview:

The Janitorial Worker plays a crucial role within The Kennedy Collective Janitorial Services Operation, dedicated to maintaining a pristine and sanitized environment for our esteemed government clientele.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Janitorial Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Independently executing cleaning tasks in designated areas, ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety protocols.
  • Performing comprehensive cleaning duties, including but not limited to bathrooms, office spaces, communal areas, stairwells, windows, and kitchens.
  • Utilizing various cleaning techniques such as vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and buffing floors, as well as managing waste disposal and recycling.
  • Conducting exterior maintenance tasks, which may involve snow removal and outdoor litter collection.
  • Operating specialized cleaning equipment, including scrubbers and power washers, while maintaining efficiency and compliance with contract specifications.
  • Managing inventory levels of cleaning supplies and materials to ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A High School Diploma.
  • Preferred experience of at least one year in custodial or maintenance roles.
  • The ability to adapt to various work environments and weather conditions.
  • A flexible schedule, with availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong independent work ethic, sound judgment, and a proactive approach.
  • Successful completion of federal and state background checks, with potential for Department of Defense clearance based on assignment.
  • Possession of a vehicle may be required for travel to different job sites.

Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to lift and carry weights frequently, with a maximum of 30 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Candidates should be prepared for physical tasks including pushing, stooping, and moving equipment.
