Quality Technician 1, Third Shift

Job Summary:

The Quality Technician 1 is responsible for ensuring the quality of materials and finished products by conducting tests and inspections. This role involves testing products at various stages to ensure compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Perform routine and job-specific load performance tests to verify compliance with published specifications.
  • Conduct testing for new or revised products to ensure quality and performance.
  • Update certified testing reports for standard products and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve product and manufacturing processes, reducing costs and ensuring quality objectives are met.
  • Visit job sites to identify problems and recommend solutions as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to established safety procedures.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and work instructions, including the Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Safety Manual.
  • Report quality issues, unsafe acts, and conditions to the proper personnel.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, or crouch for at least 8 hours.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and ability to use various tools and measuring instruments.
  • Strong shop-floor orientation and knowledge of manufacturing processes, including extrusion cutting, milling, and assembly.
  • Three plus years of manufacturing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of adhesives used in laminating processes, metal stamping, resistance/spot welding, paint processes, and cement/concrete processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detailed-oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
