Position Summary

This role serves as an intermediate level within the Procurement classification framework. The successful candidate will oversee the acquisition of goods and services that meet Supply Chain needs and Business Unit requirements, ensuring optimal pricing and terms while adhering to customer timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver advanced procurement services, including:
- Issuance and management of purchase orders and contracts
- Handling amendments and change orders
- Conducting requests for quotes and validating pricing and quantities
- Managing inventory and material transfers
- Negotiating terms and conditions
- Resolving invoice discrepancies

2. Drive significant cost savings through effective supplier negotiations and process improvements.

3. Provide expert guidance on procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and materials management.

4. Collaborate across various organizational levels and functions to achieve sourcing objectives.

5. Develop and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with agreements and performance standards.

6. Generate and manage reports on procurement activities.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Procurement Specialist role, candidates must possess:

- A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or
- An Associate's degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or
- A High School diploma/GED with 6 years of related experience.

Desired Skills

- Previous experience in sourcing, procurement, and contract management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Maximo
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions

This position supports a hybrid work model, allowing for both onsite and remote work. Candidates should be within a reasonable commuting distance to the assigned facility. This role may require after-hours support and occasional travel to vendor locations.
