Role Summary:
The Senior Systems Engineer applies extensive and varied knowledge of design principles, practices, and implementation in intricate systems and projects.

Key responsibilities encompass generating design concepts, engaging in design evaluations, and conducting development and testing to measure performance against specifications; reliability assessments, and analyzing system interactions.

This role involves making independent decisions and assisting in the creation of manufacturing processes while troubleshooting issues to identify root causes and potential engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentors and practices the application of company concepts, policies, and procedures, adhering to standard practices.
  • Utilizes functional expertise regularly in daily tasks.
  • Operates under general guidance while exercising significant discretion regarding work details.
  • Contributes to defining and achieving overall project objectives in a timely manner.
  • Participates or leads initiatives to define new components, products, or processes.
  • Identifies and resolves technical challenges effectively.
  • Implements enhancements to work processes.
  • Creates potentially patentable components or processes.
  • Designs, plans, and executes project-related tasks.
  • Designs and conducts experiments to validate hypotheses related to project outcomes.
  • Applies advanced scientific knowledge to projects; prioritizes experiments accordingly.
  • Independently designs and executes experiments.
  • Utilizes Design of Experiments (DOE) as appropriate.
  • Ensures experimental quality through sound, independent experimental design.
  • Participates or leads cross-functional technical teams.
  • Establishes interfaces across various organizational groups.
  • Provides technical guidance and feedback to peers.
  • Educates others and resolves issues.
  • Engages in project planning, process updates, and contributes to experimental design.
  • Prepares and presents project results to diverse audiences.
  • Monitors work to ensure quality and promotes a Quality First Time approach.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 8 years of relevant experience.

OR

  • Master's Degree in a related field with 4 years of relevant experience.

OR

  • PhD in a related field with 2 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrates technical proficiency, creativity, collaboration, and independent thought.
  • Possesses expert knowledge of engineering principles and concepts.

Travel Requirements:

  • Based on business needs.

Must be a U.S. Person for purposes of Export Compliance.
