Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Job DescriptionThis role involves assisting physicians in delivering complex health services in the clinic setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for front desk receptionist duties, including greeting patients in a friendly manner, ensuring patients are accurately checked in and prepared for their appointments in a timely manner.
- Front desk receptionist duties: answering phone calls, greeting patients, obtaining required patient information, ensuring entrance area is clean and organized
- Assisting patients with scheduling appointments
- Maintaining on-time appointment schedules by notifying physicians when patients have arrived
- Retrieving and filing patient records as needed
- Collecting payment from patients
- Maintaining accurate patient records by updating patient's information and scanning documents into EMR as needed
- Office supply inventory management, including checking, ordering and stocking supplies
- Protecting patient rights by maintaining confidentiality of patient records
- Contribute to team effort by assisting with additional duties and when support is requested
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience as a front-office receptionist or assisting in an office or healthcare clinic or in customer service
- Prior experience working in a podiatric or orthopedic practice is preferred
- Medical billing and coding experience is highly preferred
- Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred
- Experience working in an EMR, Athenahealth is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, grammar, and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional customer service orientation featuring empathetic, compassionate, and professional demeanor with each interaction
- Demonstrated experience as a motivated and dedicated team member with a stable work history
- Thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a drug test and a background check is required
