Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our outpatient clinic team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our nurses and medical providers while creating a welcoming environment for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Vital Sign Measurement: Accurately measure and record client vital signs, ensuring accurate and reliable data for healthcare professionals.
- Prescription Authorization: Complete prior authorizations for medications, collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure timely access to necessary treatments.
- Client Communication: Respond promptly to client telephone calls and messages, providing exceptional customer service and addressing concerns in a timely manner.
- Supportive Role: Provide additional support for the Outpatient Division Medication Clinic as needed, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver seamless care.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, Associate degree preferred.
- Certification: Current Medical Assistant Certification a plus.
- Technical Skills: Excellent computer skills, accurate computer entries, and proficiency in electronic health records (EHRs).
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish a plus.
