We are currently seeking Correctional Food Service Leaders at multiple correctional facilities throughout the state. The working hours and shifts will differ based on the specific institution.
Available Roles: Various correctional institutions across the state.

Role Responsibilities
In this capacity, you will manage food production operations. Key duties include: preparing and distributing meals, including specialized diets, for inmates and staff; ensuring a safe and sanitary food service environment; maintaining and cleaning kitchen equipment; meal planning and procurement; monitoring food inventory; ensuring security in the food service area; and training new inmate workers and food service personnel.
Compensation Information
The CFSL 2 position is classified under pay schedule and range 03-12, with an initial hourly wage of $21.10. Compensation for current state employees may vary based on applicable provisions. A twelve-month probationary period is required.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this position, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States (e.g., U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or work-authorized individual) without sponsorship at the time of application.
Pre-employment drug screenings may be conducted by the Department of Corrections. Candidates offered a position that requires a drug screen must successfully pass it as a condition of employment.
Background checks and security screenings, including internet, phone, and visitor log checks, will be performed on applicants by the Department of Corrections prior to selection. Newly hired employees will undergo fingerprinting.
