Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Physicians East. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining radiographic equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Radiographic Equipment: Ensure that all equipment is in good working order, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Prepare Patients for Procedures: Position patients, adjust immobilization devices, and move equipment into position to ensure accurate and safe imaging.
  • Produce High-Quality Images: Use your expertise to produce high-quality images that meet the needs of our patients and healthcare providers.
  • Minimize Radiation Exposure: Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Continuing Education: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest technologies and techniques.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology: Must be a graduate of an accredited program in radiologic technology.
  • Registration by ARRT and State of NC: Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and the State of North Carolina.
  • 2 Years of Clinical Experience: Preferred experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on radiologic technology.
  • Knowledge of PACS and Digital Radiography: Familiarity with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and digital radiography.
