About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at Howmet Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance and facilities engineering departments, driving asset utilization, and minimizing unplanned equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and lead by example that safety is a way of life.
  • Department Leadership: Lead and manage the Maintenance and Facilities Engineering departments, ensuring effective supervision and management of team members.
  • Asset Optimization: Drive asset utilization, shorten cycles, minimize downtime, and keep equipment running by employing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and other Lean initiatives.
  • Reliability and Efficiency: Minimize unplanned equipment downtime and maximize equipment reliability by employing TPM and other Lean initiatives.
  • Facilities Management: Ensure Facilities metrics are well-known, and track progress toward achieving department objectives.
  • Project Management: Establish project goals and lead the group effort toward successfully completing those projects.
  • Budget Management: Manage the maintenance and repair budget.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives for safety, on-time delivery, production efficiency, and scrap reduction.
  • Talent Development: Develop the capabilities of those in the department through teaching, coaching, establishing high standards, and ensuring accountability.
  • Engagement and Culture: Exhibit and promote an attitude on the plant floor that leads to an engaged and energized workforce.
  • Capital Expenditures: Advise, assist, and review all matters involving capital and major expenses. Review and edit all requests for assets (RFA) and author those pertaining to the facility.
  • ASAT Management: Audit and improve ASAT processes.
  • Community Representation: Represent Howmet at community planning boards.
  • Parts Management: Daily help manage parts and expedite parts as necessary.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot equipment with a sense of urgency.
  • PM Review: Daily review of PM's equipment down with team.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: 5 years related maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant and 3 years management experience in a manufacturing plant.
  • ITAR Compliance: This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
  • U.S. Work Authorization: Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
