Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team in a travel assignment in New Jersey.

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist I is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produces diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients, providing immobilization devices, and selecting proper technical factors based on individual patient needs.
  • Restricts radiation beam through cone and collimating devices to provide non-exposure of radiation to unaffected parts of the patient.
  • Performs portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency rooms.
  • Follows operational procedures to identify patient's films with name and x-ray number, correctly mark film as to side of the patient taken.
  • Develops exposed x-ray film by processing methods available.
  • Completes patient requisitions with technologist initials, date, number, and size of film.
  • Maintains orderly x-ray room as directed by the head of the department.
  • Prepares radiopaque contrast media and assists physician in administering radiopaque mixtures to patient.
  • Performs administrative duties related to scheduling appointments, patient's instruction, film filing, maintenance of records, reception of patients, and other administrative duties as required.
Requirements:
  • National certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current licensure in the state of New Jersey.
  • 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM shift.
  • 5 x 8 hour shifts per week.
  • Weekends required as needed.
  • No holiday requirement.
  • No on-call requirement.

Tact Medical Staffing Job ID # Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
