Real Estate Project Financial Analyst

Conor Commercial Real Estate is seeking a skilled Project Accountant to deliver precise financial accounting services for both internal and external stakeholders. This role will report directly to the Controller and will support various accounting functions, including but not limited to, financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, general ledger management, and accounts payable processing. This position is based in the company's headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the General Ledger to ensure accurate classification and recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and monthly reports for multiple joint venture and development initiatives.
- Conduct operational analysis, including comparisons of budgeted versus actual figures.
- Assist in the accounting entries related to acquisitions and dispositions of assets.
- Review financial documents to verify the accuracy of information and calculations.
- Execute month-end and year-end closing processes, including comprehensive analysis.
- Prepare reconciliations for bank accounts, as well as fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
- Ensure compliance with Development Management, Loan, and Joint Venture Agreements.
- Prepare capital calls and manage construction loan disbursements.
- Process invoices, including coding, supporting documentation review, data entry, and check preparation.
- Generate 1099 forms at the end of the fiscal year.
- Collaborate with joint venture partners, development teams, and general contractors regarding project billing and funding.
- Support the Controller with external audit requirements and activities.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; CPA designation is preferred.
- Experience in the Real Estate and/or Construction sectors is advantageous.
- Proficient in Excel with intermediate skills required.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
- Familiarity with Sage, Timberline, or other Project Management/Accounting software is a plus.
- This is a full-time, in-office position.
