We are seeking a skilled Claims Adjuster to join our team at Erie Insurance. As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for handling complex liability claims, including coverage issues and minor injury claims. This is a remote, work-from-home position in Indiana, and the selected candidate will ideally live in the Indianapolis metro and/or surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough investigations to evaluate and make recommendations regarding coverage and liability.
Set and maintain reserves, obtain documents to establish the value of claims, and negotiate settlement or declines.
Document files and submit final reports, identifying subrogation opportunities and initiating appropriate action.
Negotiate with all parties, or their representatives, within designated authority.
Complete required training and train and mentor colleagues as needed.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent and two years of claims or customer service experience, preferably with casualty claims, required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferred.
Appropriate license as required by state.
