Job Summary:

The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a skilled Rigger to join our team. As a Rigger, you will be responsible for safely moving, preparing, and setting up materials to be moved.

Responsibilities:
  • Comply with and actively promote all Safety policies and procedures, including reporting all accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Read specifications and blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
  • Set up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural steel members, hoist steel beams, girders, and columns into place using cranes, using hand signals and tag lines.
Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of experience with layout, connecting, and rigging is required. Must be able to choose the correct rigging equipment for the task, set up and operate pulleys, ropes, winches, and other lifting gear. Prior rigging experience, including knowledge of hand signals, rigging gear, inspection, and proper use, is necessary. NCCER certification is a plus.
