About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Merchandise Expert to join our team at Target. As a General Merchandise Expert, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our store's General Merchandise areas are stocked, accurately priced, and presented in a way that delights our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a welcoming experience for our guests by authentically greeting them and providing exceptional service.
  • Observe and respond to guest needs, using your knowledge of our products and services to solve issues and improve their experience.
  • Be an expert and dedicated owner of select General Merchandise areas, ensuring that the sales floor is zoned, in stock, and accurately signed for guests.
  • Execute revisions, sales plans, and planograms for all General Merchandise categories, and assist non-General Merchandise areas with transition sets and In-Store Marketing.
  • Process all inbound deliveries using the Receive application to ensure inventory accuracy, and complete all backroom daily and weekly audits.
Requirements
  • A welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members.
  • The ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
