At East River Medical Imaging, we are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Mammography Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate radiologic equipment to perform mammography procedures, ensuring accurate and detailed images for diagnosis.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, explaining the process to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.
- Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.
- Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
- Process images and review for proper identification and quality control.
- Explain breast self-examination procedures to patients and answer questions.
- Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians.
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on radiologic equipment.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in mammography and stereotactic biopsy procedures.
- ARRT (M) certification and NYS RT license with injection privileges.
- DEXA experience preferred, with training available.
