Job Responsibilities:


The Field Operations Supervisor is accountable for overseeing all outdoor field operations within the assigned geographic area, ensuring the efficient and timely fulfillment of customer installation and repair requests.

This role also supports the video engineering and facilities engineering teams with maintenance activities at hub sites.

Key Duties Include:
- Overseeing the recruitment, hiring, and professional development of field technicians
- Establishing and maintaining standards for equipping technicians with necessary tools and test equipment
- Managing the inventory of company tools and test sets, addressing any loss issues promptly
- Developing and maintaining a training curriculum for both new hires and existing employees
- Ensuring workplace safety and providing required safety training to staff
- Monitoring productivity and quality of work at the individual employee level

Ensuring all technicians demonstrate a 'customer-friendly' attitude, reflecting our commitment to exceptional service.

Conducting quality control assessments of installation work, performing on-site QC surveys for compliance with installation standards, and generating monthly compliance reports
- Addressing customer complaints by investigating service and damage issues and taking appropriate action
- Coordinating installation activities with contractors as necessary to meet workflow demands
- Developing and maintaining an out-of-hours call-out schedule
- Supporting video engineering and facilities engineering teams with planning and maintenance functions for hub sites

Assisting with the planning of MetroNet hub sites regarding location, size, appearance, and layout.

Supporting the monitoring and maintenance of hub site electronics and peripheral systems
- Assisting with troubleshooting equipment failures and service-affecting issues
- Responding promptly to security or equipment alarms
- Supporting Outside Plant with repair and maintenance tasks
- Collaborating with the OSP manager to develop preventative maintenance routines
- Assisting with OSP repair and restoration activities as needed.
- Reviewing all underground plant locate requests to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA, NESC, NEC, and safety regulations for all work activities
- Staying informed about FCC and other regulatory requirements
- Supporting local utility relations
- Knowledge of cable franchise management and economic development
- Public safety relations
- Providing leadership, policies, and systems to encourage accountability in employee performance for:
- Personal and vehicle safety
- Productivity and work quality
- Punctual attendance
- Management of vehicle inventory, tools, and test set utilization

The associate may be required to follow other job-related instructions and perform additional job-related duties as requested, in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.


Additional Qualifications:

Requirements:
- Proven knowledge of outside plant construction
- Prior hands-on experience with installation and maintenance of customer inside wiring
- Ability to support field personnel in technical support situations using diagnostic tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
