Job Summary

The Ready Mix Truck Driver is a vital role at Concrete On Demand, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our ready-mix trucks. This position requires a valid commercial driver's license (CDL A or B), a high school diploma, and excellent communication skills. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team to deliver top-quality concrete products to our customers.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position that involves driving a ready-mix truck to various job sites, unloading materials, and maintaining equipment in good condition. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-year experience as a CDL Driver and be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. You will also need to pass a DOT physical examination, including a back x-ray, hearing test, and drug/alcohol screen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely drive a ready-mix truck to and from destinations, adhering to DOT driving regulations and area roads.
  • Verify delivery instructions with plant personnel before leaving the plant to ensure accurate delivery to the correct customer and job site.
  • Maintain radio contact with supervisors/dispatch to receive and transmit delivery instructions.
  • Assist other company employees as needed and perform pre- and post-trip inspections on truck equipment and supplies.
  • Develop extensive working relationships with customers to maximize opportunities for Concrete On Demand and address their needs effectively.
Requirements
  • A valid commercial driver's license (CDL A or B)
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • A minimum of 1-year experience as a CDL Driver
  • Pass a DOT physical examination, including a back x-ray, hearing test, and drug/alcohol screen
