Job Summary

Sunland Asphalt is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance checks and repairs on our fleet of heavy equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience working on heavy equipment, with a strong background in troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems. A current driver's license and a clean motor-vehicle record are also required.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs on heavy equipment
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Diagnose and repair equipment issues
  • Work closely with other shop employees to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Prepare work orders and cost material estimates

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of experience working on heavy equipment
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Excellent decision making skills
  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Scanner diagnostics a plus: OTC vehicle/CAT ET
  • Must be fluent in English

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • A current driver's license is required
  • Medical certification required
  • Must have a clean motor-vehicle record
