Lead R2 Systems Engineer Overview
As a Lead Engineer, you will be tasked with ensuring the dependability and efficiency of our systems.

Your role will emphasize Dynatrace Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Performance Assessment, playing a vital part in the upkeep and enhancement of our infrastructure.

Your proficiency in Python will be crucial for streamlining processes and boosting productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the deployment and upkeep of Dynatrace for monitoring system performance and dependability.
  • Supervise the formulation and execution of SRE methodologies to guarantee system stability and scalability.
  • Deliver thorough performance assessments to pinpoint and rectify system bottlenecks.
  • Employ Python to automate routine operations and improve operational productivity.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate performance monitoring tools and methodologies.
  • Conduct root cause investigations for system failures and implement corrective measures.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system performance and reliability protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices for system reliability and performance.
  • Monitor system metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding system health and performance.
  • Implement proactive strategies to avert system outages and enhance uptime.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers on SRE methodologies and performance assessment techniques.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to deliver 24/7 support for critical system challenges.
  • Continuously assess and enhance system performance through regular testing and validation.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with Dynatrace for system monitoring and performance evaluation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in SRE methodologies to ensure system reliability and scalability.
  • Proven history in performance assessment and bottleneck resolution.
  • Proficient in Python for automation and process enhancement.
  • Experience in the Payer domain is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are essential.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A proactive mindset for identifying and addressing system challenges is necessary.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation is important.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $68,422 to $114,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

This role is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
