Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications to residents according to physician orders and company policies.
  • Monitor residents for adverse effects of medications and report any issues to the Charge Nurse.
  • Record all medication administration according to company policy.
  • Report any medication errors to the Charge Nurse immediately.
  • Maintain the security of the medication cart and environment free of hazards.
  • Respect the confidentiality and privacy of our residents.
  • Follow infection control policies for medication administration.
  • Notify the Charge Nurse of any complaints, reactions, or changes in resident status.
Requirements:
  • Current Medication Administration certification from the state.
  • Ability to record information and perform technical procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and self-discipline.
  • Demonstrate competence in medication administration.
