Job Title: Certified X-ray Technician for Orthopedic Spine

West Texas Spine Institute is an orthopedic practice seeking a bilingual X-Ray Technician/CMA to join our team.

Job Summary

As a member of our medical team, the Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for a range of clinical and administrative tasks, including assisting with patient care, maintaining medical records, scheduling appointments, and communicating with patients and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care by taking vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the provider during exams.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including electronic health records (EHR).
  • Schedule appointments and follow-up visits for patients.
  • Communicate with patients and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure that all necessary information is collected.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones and managing patient schedules.
  • Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and policies, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with daily patient X-rays and imaging reports.
Requirements
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program (preferred).
  • Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in orthopedics or neurology.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state regulations that impact clinic operations.
  • Non-Certified Radiologic Technologist (Preferred).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
  • Personal Injury and orthopedics experience preferred.
