Property Financial Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Property Financial Manager to join our team at Troon Golf. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the financial, accounting, and administrative activities of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and adhere to policies and procedures for the Accounting function, including compliance with all company accounting standards.
- Oversee accounting and administrative controls to safeguard the assets of the company by reducing theft and internal fraud.
- Assist the General Manager in preparing and monitoring the annual budget, monitoring revenue goals, and generating various business volume forecasts.
- Monitor and coordinate property plans to achieve overall future objectives, including projection of revenue, cost, net income, cash position, cash management, and capital requirements.
- Manage the full cycle close process, including financial statement preparation and balance sheet account reconciliations each month, supporting schedules that identify actual, budget, variance, and over/under based on the plan.
- Manage Real Estate lot sales, including recording transactions, deposits, recording titles through escrow, title insurance, etc.
- Oversee the bookkeeping function for the owner's construction entity, including multiple cottages/cabins.
- Execute critical thinking in all aspects of this role, including balancing the balance sheet accounts to the general ledger and additional analysis required to ensure accuracy and reasonableness.
- Perform and monitor daily revenue audits for revenue-generating departments, including Golf, Food & Beverage, and hotel rooms, etc.
- Manage property cash flow and coordinate the appropriate timing of issuing payments to vendors, alerting the General Manager and Regional Controller when cash flow problems exist.
- Prepare, coordinate, and review the closing of year-end books and records with the Regional Controller.
- Recommend to management the implementation of policies, procedures, processes, and controls based on continual analysis of current accounting processes.
- Establish accounting protocols and work flows for the property based on property needs, ensuring compliance with Troon Golf accounting standards.
- Monitor contracts with facility vendors.
- Ensure collection and payment of applicable local, state, and federal taxes, preparing and reviewing monthly tax reports.
- Manage both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including processing invoices, preparing statements, making payments, collections, reconciliation, and record keeping.
- Reconcile and audit petty cash, general bank account, and cash banks.
- Responsible for training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
- Manage department members, including Property Accountant and/or Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper for the Construction entity.
- Assure effective orientation and training are given to each new associate, developing ongoing training programs.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and four to ten years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in the Hospitality Industry a plus.
- Experience with Jonas POS/Accounting software program a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of property management system.
