Employee Onboarding Coordinator

POSITION OVERVIEW:
As an Onboarding Specialist, you will oversee the comprehensive integration of new employees into our organization. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that all safety protocols, animal welfare standards, and organizational expectations are thoroughly communicated and adhered to by new team members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage the onboarding journey for new hires from their first day through the initial 60 days, or until they achieve qualification, whichever comes first.
2. Administer, monitor, and assess all training programs for new employees, including tracking training hours, qualification status, attendance, and turnover rates.
3. Foster a positive relationship between new hires and their supervisors through regular weekly meetings and open communication.
4. Provide hands-on training during the onboarding phase and offer insights to management and Human Resources regarding training needs and employee performance.
5. Cultivate strong working relationships with new hires, colleagues, leadership, and clients to promote a collaborative environment.
6. Collaborate with supervisors, Human Resources, and coordinators to evaluate processes and product specifications.
7. Participate actively in HR and company committees to enhance employee experience.
8. Achieve key performance indicators, focusing on 30- and 60-day retention rates.
EXPECTATIONS:
Ensure the embodiment of all company values, deliver hands-on training, complete all necessary training documentation, guarantee timely qualification of trainees, conduct weekly meetings with new hires and supervisors, and address any issues promptly with relevant stakeholders.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Highly motivational and personable, with a proven ability to engage with others effectively.
- Previous experience in training or development roles is advantageous.
- Comprehensive knowledge of departmental duties and responsibilities.
- Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
- Professional communication skills and demeanor.
- Ability to articulate ideas, concepts, and concerns in a constructive and professional manner.
- Self-disciplined, confident, and proactive.
- Capacity to work independently in various environments.
- Strong attendance record and good standing within the organization.
- Familiarity with animal welfare standards is beneficial.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
A High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's Degree or two years of college coursework in Communications, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
