Job Summary:

As a Radiology Technologist at Adventist Health, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality radiographs of designated body parts as ordered by physicians. Your expertise will involve positioning and instructing patients, adjusting x-ray equipment, and determining optimal voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body parts
  • Position and instruct patients prior to examination
  • Adjust x-ray equipment and determine optimal voltage, current, and exposure time
  • Prepare equipment for use as needed
  • Prepare examination rooms for patient exams
  • Position patients for imaging exams
  • Monitor patients and ensure safety during exams
  • Produce diagnostic images
  • Document exam information
  • Report important information to physicians
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in radiological technology (preferred)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT-R) certification (required)
  • Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
  • Fluoroscopy license in state of employment (preferred)
