Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Radiologic Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to deliver Imaging Services, including routine diagnostic x-rays, portable x-rays, and fluoroscopy. Under the guidance of the Chief Radiologic Technologist and the Director of Medical Imaging, you will be expected to perform diagnostic imaging procedures safely and proficiently, adhering to government regulations and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Accurately label and document imaging procedures.
  • Address quality assurance issues promptly.
  • Ensure timely release of images to radiologists.
  • Validate and appropriately enter orders.
  • Assist in transporting patients as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited 2-year Radiologic Technology program or equivalent training.
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) is mandatory.
  • Certification with the Texas Department of Health (CMRT) is required.
  • Relevant experience as determined by the Medical Imaging Manager or Director.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association is necessary.
  • One year of experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
