As an Automotive Operations Manager at Maaco Collision & Paint, LLC, you will oversee the daily operations of our auto body shop. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and team leadership, this role is perfect for those who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

This position involves managing financial controls, operations, employee development, and customer service. You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory, applying financial reporting analysis results, generating sales leads, analyzing collision and/or paint damaged vehicles to create a repair plan and cost, reviewing repair orders with technicians as necessary, and interacting with Trade and Insurance accounts to assure prompt and courteous service.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial controls, operations, employee development, and customer service
  • Maintain inventory and apply financial reporting analysis results
  • Successfully generate and capture sales leads
  • Analyze collision and/or paint damaged vehicles to create a repair plan and cost
  • Review repair orders with technicians as necessary
  • Afford all customers courteous treatment, providing fair and honest written estimate, and set reasonable expectations for our services using 'Total Honest Communication' to assure customer satisfaction
  • Actively pursue retail leads from trade work incoming to 3rd party satellite locations
  • Interact with Trade and Insurance accounts to assure prompt and courteous service
  • Work to attain daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly sales objectives of the center as defined by management
  • Track daily and weekly performance and be prepared to review with management
  • Participate in outside or special sales events as set by management
  • Manage vehicle intake check-in; ascertain paint formulas, ensure it accompanies the Repair Order, and mark vehicles and repair orders clearly to assure accurate and complete communication with shop staff
  • Manage customer satisfaction and delivery of vehicles to assure customer satisfaction, referrals, and repeat
  • Order, track, follow-up on, receive, and confirm parts are correct, check parts cost and profit margin, return unused parts and follow-up on credits, track via MIS and utilize organizer system
  • Maintain CCC, OneMaaco MIS reports (Telephone Log, Appointment Calendar, Paintline Status Update, Parts Status Update, Daily End of Day, Friday Night Weekly Close, etc)
  • Create urgency in the shop to achieve production volume and turn-around time goals
  • Work collaboratively with Production staff to achieve efficiency and quality standards

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of profit and loss interpretation and management to influence profitability
  • Ability to prioritize and organize own and others' work and time to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Previous success in sales or operations and leadership skills are a must
  • Desire for performance-based compensation
  • CCCOne or like estimatics program experience preferred
  • At least 3 years of production management or sales leadership is required
