Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative III to join our team at Vidant Health. As a Patient Access Representative III, you will be responsible for creating a positive first impression for our patients and families, and ensuring that their pre-registration and financial clearance process is smooth and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and verify demographic and financial data to ensure accurate billing and payment
  • Verify insurance eligibility and secure authorization for services
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication and care
  • Perform pre-registration and financial clearance duties for outpatient and inpatient services
  • Utilize computer systems and software to manage patient data and communicate with healthcare teams

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in registration, scheduling, and insurance authorization in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication, detail orientation, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with EPIC and medical office workflows preferred
