Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join our team at MultiSource Manufacturing. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create and implement quality procedures, control plans, and other quality tools to ensure products meet customer requirements.
  2. Work closely with the new product introduction team to ensure smooth transition of parts from quoting to manufacturing and shipment.
  3. Mentor other quality engineers to ensure they can carry out their tasks in a timely manner.
  4. Serve as senior site liaison to customers, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding quality issues and concerns.
  5. Analyze failures to meet requirements, determine corrective and preventive actions, and use structured problem-solving templates to document and correct issues.
  6. Ensure timely resolution of discrepant material reports, client complaint investigations, and other reports relevant to this position.
  7. Develop and recommend inspection and sampling techniques to reduce scrap, rework, and process wastes.
  8. Provide technical assistance on process capability, Gage R&R execution, and other quality-related topics.
  9. Coordinate and communicate plans and activities to drive a team approach within the organization.
  10. Communicate clearly and professionally to management and staff both orally and in written form.
  11. Assist in training staff via local and online training programs.
  12. Assist with variance reduction, troubleshooting, and improvement initiatives as needed.
  13. Follow and ensure all guidelines, SOPs, and procedures of MultiSource Manufacturing are met by site staff.
  14. Ensure proprietary techniques are not disclosed to non-employees except as approved in writing by the Leadership Team.
  15. Maintain a perpetual state of readiness to respond to client, staff, subcontractor, and colleague queries and needs.
  16. Promote the company image through sound and ethical business practices related to the public and customers.
  17. Remain current on technical, industry, and business advancements and trends as suggested by the Quality Manager and other Leadership Team members.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned and assist the Quality Manager as needed.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate with a six-year degree in a technical field and three years of experience, or a four-year degree in a technical field and five years of experience. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of regulated environments and requirements such as FDA, ISO, and AS9100.

Skills and Abilities:

The successful candidate will have influence and effective communication skills, ability to conduct structured problem-solving, manage time, prioritize competing demands, and escalate as needed. They will also be able to quickly learn new concepts, software, interfaces, and tools, and translate minimal direction into action.

Other Requirements:

The position requires no heavy lifting and the ability to read and follow instructions in English.
