Our Fairport, NY, office serves as the headquarters for the Bosch Security Systems organization in the United States and is the primary site for research and development, quality, and product management for intrusion detection systems. Our intrusion detection systems contain state-of-the-art sensors, control panels, communicators, and software applications. We deliver an entire ecosystem of products to ensure our customers can feel safe and confident that we protect what they value most.
Job Responsibilities:- Design and develop mechanical products, including plastic enclosures, sheet metal enclosures, and optical lenses, using CAD software.
- Create prototypes of product designs or engineering fixtures using onsite machine shop equipment or external job shops.
- Perform pre-compliance and mechanical testing on product sample builds, including impact analysis, drop testing, and torque testing.
- Support tooling activities, including drawing updates, sample inspection, product testing, and release documentation.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with PTC CREO required.
- Must have experience designing and modeling complex plastic products.
- Knowledge of optical lens design and sheet metal enclosure preferred.
- Ability to collaborate across functions as part of a design team.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively across global time zones.
- CREO certification - Modeling Professional, Surfacing Professional, Analysis Professional, or Associate Certification.
- Autodesk FUSION experience.
- Ability to operate CNC mill and manual machine shop equipment.
- Optical design software experience.
- SAP experience and AutoCAD preferred.
