Job Summary

Weis Markets is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Meat Department Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the meat department, including inventory management, ordering, and receiving.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of meat department associates to ensure they are meeting sales and customer service goals.
  • Merchandising and Display: Ensure that the meat department is visually appealing and well-merchandised, with a focus on promoting sales and driving customer engagement.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure that the department is always stocked with fresh and high-quality products.
  • Financial Management: Manage department expenses and labor costs to ensure that the department is operating within budget.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all products are of the highest quality and meet company standards.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail or food service environment, with a focus on meat department management.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team. Proficient in inventory management and financial analysis. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
