Job Summary:

As a licensed mental health professional at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to our members. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health conditions. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing effective treatment plans, providing individual and group therapy, and conducting crisis interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mental Health Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide individual and group therapy to members with acute or chronic mental health conditions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with physicians, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective treatment outcomes.
  • Crisis Intervention and Support: Provide crisis intervention services, including emergency assessments and interventions, to members in need.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of member treatment, progress, and outcomes.
  • Professional Development and Growth: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in mental health treatment and research.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of California.
  • Experience: Previous experience in mental health treatment, preferably in an outpatient or inpatient setting, is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-Licensure Experience: Previous experience as a licensed mental health professional, preferably in a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Specialized Training: Training in crisis intervention, group therapy, and behavioral medicine is highly desirable.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Experience in supervising or mentoring junior staff members is a plus.
